Power Poll on the Future of Birmingham-Southern College

In a recent poll conducted by the Power Poll, a majority of respondents disagreed with Alabama State Treasurer Young Boozer's denial of the college's loan request through the Alabama Distressed Institutions of Higher Education Revolving Loan Program.

Despite a dismissed lawsuit against Boozer, 76% of respondents support legislative efforts to amend the funding act. The Power Poll reflects widespread metro area support for BSC, with over half of respondents emphasizing the college's importance to Birmingham. Despite the financial challenges, BSC leaders express confidence in completing the spring semester.
